Your privacy

Nothing you write is ever sent to us. My MD Writer runs entirely inside your web browser. What you type or paste is never uploaded, stored on our servers, shared, sold, or used in any way. We can't see it.

  • No account, no sign-in. Just open the page and write.
  • No cookies, analytics or tracking.
  • Your draft stays on your device. It's saved only in this browser so you don't lose work if the tab closes. Click New to erase it. Clearing your browser's history and site data also removes it.
  • Files stay with you. Files you save go straight to your computer, and files you open are read only by your browser.
  • On a shared or public computer, click New when you're done so the next person can't see your draft.

Two small notes: if your document includes images from other websites, your browser loads them from those sites to show the preview. And like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs of page visits, such as IP address and browser type. Those logs never include what you write.
